15 Minute French Dip Sandwich

Zach
The idea for this recipe came about when my wife and I had our first child, and we knew that we’d need a repertoire of fast and delicious meals. With just a few common fridge-friendly ingredients we could go from “what’s for lunch?” to plate in 15 short minutes. Not only is this recipe super-quick, but it tastes amazing and is so much more than the sum of its parts!
The magic happens when you add the roast beef to the consomme. It amplifies the beefy flavor of both the roast beef and the soup! There’s nothing complicated here, it’s just about applying a few principles of sandwich theory:
Build flavor at every step.Take steps to get sturdy bread.Balance the ratio of bread to filling.
